Expectation and Rory McIlroy go hand in hand. That’s always been the way.

As a result, the 33-year-old has developed broad shoulders to deal with the burden that comes with his immense talent – but the build-up to The 150th Open has felt different.

Not only has the Northern Irishman been in superb form this year, with top-10 finishes in all three majors, his previous Open at the home of golf provided reason for encouragement.

  1. Thanks for the highlights! I got home from work and tried to catch highlights on "The Golf Channel" — in one hour they showed maybe 3 shots and had a commercial break literally every 3 minutes. 3 minutes of Brandel Chamblee rambling on followed by a ton of adverts, repeated for an hour. Absolute disgrace to call themselves "the golf channel". What is going on in the world of golf. NBC is a greedy disgusting organization, they ruin everything they get their hands on and milk it for all its worth with no regard for the fan experience.

  2. Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus.

  3. Did they end up banning those golfers that joined them Saudis,i was just wondering,go Rory

  4. Consider where your soul will spend eternity, heaven or hell.  You
don’t want to end up in hell because you rejected the Sacrifice Jesus has made
all who repent and turn to him by faith.  We are all guilty of sin.
We lie, steal and look with lust in our hearts.  We are all Guilty before
a Holy and Righteous God.  GOD is not just all loving and overlook your
sin.  He is loving, but sin He will Judge because He is Perfectly good.
The Good news is God the Father sent His Son Jesus Christ who was perfectly
Holy to pay the penalty for your and my sin out of Love for us.  We can’t
keep the Law we break most all commandments.  But Jesus fulfilled ALL by
his perfect thoughts, words, deeds and motives for us because we could not.
Jesus loved all humans and God the Father perfectly.  Turn, repent of your
sin and confess Your thankfulness for what Jesus did for you.  Put your
faith in the perfection and the righteousness of Christ.  Jesus was raised
from death to give you new life; death has been defeated. Out of love and grace
eternal life is promised to those who have faith.  …………………………,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,//////////////

  5. Now that's what i call a highlight reel. My word there were a lot of amazing shots on a beast of a course.

The way they use the contours of the fairways and greens is incredible, I can't even fathom pulling those shots off.

  9. Rory cannot chip ! And cannot putt under pressure !!! He's terrible. He throws away shot after shot after shot. Did you see that 2nd round at the end ?? He was putting from 20.yards off the green. He is lost no chance of winning if its close or he has to come from behind

  10. Y am I 1min 13 seconds in and iv had to watch 4 ads …. wtf money grabbing cuhts

  11. These highlights are brutal, more variety and content in general you three season britts

  12. Thought Tiger's disaster at the 1st seemed to instill his 'mind-set' for the rest of the round – never looked really happy after that. Was his pitch a total mis-hit, or was he trying to be too cute with a wicked pin position? Looks like the Friday pin is no friendlier! Middle of the green is surely the best option to avoid the early 'negative frame of mind'?

  14. It's amazing how well Rory played after being brutally attacked…what a champion.

  15. Tiger said to his Caddie walking off the 18th tee, I think I’ll jump in the burn and drown myself. You couldn’t keep your head down long enough, retorted his caddie!

  16. 5:56 Schauffele's putt from the path…what optical illusion am I seeing? Is the camera angle weird and is it a downhill putt. The ball reaction off the bank seemed excessive for how he hit it.

  17. I'm sure Nakajima appreciated Si Woo Kim's escape from that bunker!
